'Great job by the guys,' Virat Kohli praises Team India after Asia Cup win

Rested Indian skipper Virat Kohli congratulate Team India after clinching the seventh Asia Cup title on Friday. Indian team beat Bangladesh in the last-ball thriller to steal the Asia Cup glory from neighbours. Indian skipper Kohli was rested from the tournament due to heavy workload and Rohit Sharma was announced as the replacement captain for him. After a tough win Kohli took to Twitter and posted, " Great job by the guys to win that tight game last night.  @BCCI Seventh Asia Cup title for us Congrats to Bangladesh as well for giving a tough fight. @BCBtigers #AsiaCupFinal #AsiaCup2018Final."

Kohli gave constant support to Indian team on Twitter in past matches also and was never off action from Asia Cup 2018.

Bangladesh lost their second consecutive Asia Cup final and coincidentally both time they lost to the Asian giants India. With this India continue their Asian dominance and won their record seventh title.

Earlier in the final, a severely hamstrung Kedar Jadhav ran the most defining single of his short international career as India beat Bangladesh by three wickets to win their seventh Asia Cup title in a pulsating last-ball finish.

Chasing a modest target of 222, India made a rough weather of the chase at 160 for five with Jadhav (23*) initially retiring after pulling his right hamstring only to comeback when it mattered the most.

He came in the 48th over with India still needing 11 runs. With six runs needed off the last over, Jadhav and Kuldeep Yadav kept their cool against Mahmudullah Riyadh taking three singles and double off the first five balls.
