Following India's 203-run win the third Test at Nottingham, former India opener and IndiaTV cricket expert Virender Sehwag strongly believes that Virat Kohli-led team can beat England 3-2 to win the Test match series.

Trailing the five-match Test series 1-2, India will take on England in the fourth Test, starting Thursday at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.

"Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, India can defeat England 3-2 to win Test series. It's tough but not impossible for the current set of players to win the Test series from this stage," Sehwag told IndiaTV during the show 'Cricket Ki Baat'.

So far so good, Kohli has led the No.1-ranked Test team from the front, scoring 440 runs in three matches with two centuries. With this, the Indian captain answered his critics, who weren't much confident for Kohli's outing after his dismal show in 2014.

On his last tour to England in 2014, Kohli managed to score just 134 runs in five Test matches at a poor batting average of 13.40.

Commenting on India's over-dependence on Kohli, Sehwag said he hopes to see the Indian skipper remain in form to lead his side to the series win.

"Not just players but the entire nation has its faith in Virat Kohli. India are excessively dependent on their skipper. We hope he continues to score runs in following Test matches as well and take his team to the series triumph," Sehwag added.

After India's much-awaited win in the Test series, Kohli reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Test Rankings, thanks to his score of 97 and 103 runs in successive innings of the third Test.

The skipper first earned the pole position after his 149 and 51 in the first Test at Birmingham. However, he dropped to second place after India's defeat at the Lord's but a stupendous performance has again put him at the top.

Kohli now has 937 points, which is the 11th best ever in terms of rating points.
