India's Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and his wife Puja became proud parents of a baby girl on Friday. Pujara took to social media to announce the news as he uploaded a picture on his Twitter account with the caption, 'Welcome lil one. Excited and super happy for the new roles in our lives. We made a wish and she came true!"
The Saurashtra batsman who went unsold at the Indian Premier League auctions, is currently playing in the Vijay Hazare trophy and has helped his team reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Test batsman had broken the news on January 1 where he took to his Instagram account to upload a picture with his wife.
Pujara will commence his preparations for India's tour of England earlier than expected as he returns to play for Yorkshire in county cricket. This will be his second stint with the club since 2015 where they won the County Championship that year.
Pujara had a rather forgettable Test series in South Africa as his contribution did not exactly help Team India in terms of their batting as the Proteas attacking unit ripped past the batsmen in the three-match Test series which the Virat Kohli led Team India lost 2-1.
