Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi returned to his destructive mode in the Qualifying final between Northern Warriors vs Pakhtoons in the ongoing T10 league. Afridi who once held the record of the fastest century in ODIs (37-balls) smashed four consecutive sixes against his own countryman Wahab Riaz.

'Boom-Boom' Afridi scored 59* in just 17 balls in the vital clash in which he hit seven sixes in a genuine captain's knock. He led Pakhtoons to a competitive total of 135/5 in 10 Overs who won the match by 13 runs. With the victory, Afridi's team entered into the final of the tournament where they will once again face Northern Warriors.

Earlier, the 38-year-old took a liking to Riaz in the 8th over and smashed him all over the park to collect 26 runs from that single over. While chasing the mammoth target, Warriors lost their two big hitters Nicolas Pooran and Andre Russell in just 1.2 overs. Rovman Powell was the lone fighter for their team and he didn’t give up till the very last ball and his innings of 80 runs in 35 balls went in vain. Powell cleared the boundary rope nine times in his innings, but it was Afridi who stole the show with his consecutive sixes.

While in the Eliminator final match on Sunday, Warriors reached the final by beating Maratha Arabians by 10-wickets.
