A BCCI team, led by its acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary, today inspected the Green Field stadium at Karyavattom here to ascertain whether the stadium was ready to host international cricket matches.
The team expressed satisfaction over arrangements at the stadium, a press release from Kerala Cricket association said here today.
BCCI would submit a report in this regard to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
BCCI Operation General Manager M V Sridhar said a decision on whether to sanction International matches would be taken after an inspection of ICC team in July.
BCCI Vice President T C Mathew was among those in the team, the release said.
The multi-purpose Green Field stadium is considered as India's first DBOT (Design, Build, Operate and Transfer) model outdoor stadium.
