India completely dominated the West Indies team in the series decider on Thursday to clinch the five match ODI series 3-1. This series will stay in people memories for long as many cricketing records were shattered by the Indian players including Virat Kohli's fastest 10,000 run feat to his deputy's quickest 200 sixes. But there is still one record missed that bittered the cricket fans which is Mahendra Singh Dhoni 10k run mark in ODIs for the Indian team.
Before the final ODI Dhoni was just one run short of the feat and after the series, he is still on 9999 runs. In the Thiruvananthapuram ODI, host team bundled the Caribbean side on just 103 runs and won the match single-handedly by nine wickets. The Men in Blue lost their opener Shikhar Dhawan early and everyone thought that Kohli will send the former Indian captain to score the one run to complete his 10k run mark but he himself came out to lead the Indian team to victory in just 14.5 Overs.
MS Dhoni fans on Twitter couldn't keep their calm and blasted the Indian skipper for his decision.
Dhoni fans will have to wait for the next year to see their icon hit that one run against the Australian team in January as the Men in Blue will not play any ODIs till then.
