The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been shaken by a series of terror attacks over the past week. The most recent incident occurred on the evening of October 24, when terrorists targeted an Indian Army vehicle in Gulmarg, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers and two army porters.
Omar Abdullah also met Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at his office. During the meeting, Abdullah apprised Gadkari about the road connectivity projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
The National Conference (NC) emerged as the single-largest party in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls held in September and October. The NC won 42 out of the 90 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 29 seats is the second-largest party.
