On the occasion of Christmas, Commuters have been advised to plan their routes accordingly and avoid congested areas during the celebrations. Police personnel will be deployed to manage the situation efficiently, an advisory said.
The ongoing construction of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Kalindi Kunj has caused major traffic disruptions. Delhi Police issued an advisory urging commuters to avoid the area during peak hours due to delays caused by the Agra Canal Road bridge construction.
After the implementation of GRAP-3 restrictions, checking has been intensified in different locations of the national capital. Under these, non-essential diesel-operated medium goods vehicles with BS-IV or older standards are banned within Delhi.
Samvidhan Divas Padyatra 2024: The advisory said that police also asked to avoid Tilak Marg, Ashoka Road, Shahjahan Road, C-Hexagon, India Gate, Zakir Hussain Marg, Akbar Road upto R/A Gol Methi, and Janpath and surrounding areas including MLNP.
India International Trade Fair: The objective of the kiosk is to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of adhering to traffic rules, provide information on how to connect with Delhi Traffic Police via social media platforms and helpline numbers.

Delhi traffic advisory: As per the advisory, no traffic will be allowed on Panchsheel Marg towards Niti-Panchsheel Marg roundabout.
Delhi hit-and-run case: A case has been registered against the unidentified suspect for dragging the traffic personnels before their car and also violating traffic rules. A case has registered under section 109(1)/221/132/121(1)/3(5) BNS, of such offence.
Police issued a traffic advisory informing commuters about road closures and traffic diversions. They also advised people to use public transport to reduce congestion and plan their journeys to avoid delays.
As per the advisory, commuters have been requested to cooperate by avoiding roads and junctions near the marathon routes and instead using the suggested alternate routes, to support this celebration of fitness. The Delhi Half Marathon is scheduled to take place on October 20.
According to Delhi Traffic Police Advisory, the traffic movement in southwest Delhi will be affected by repair work on Old Kakrola Road until October 20.
The advisory suggested commuters to use Mehrauli-Gurugram Road and Dwarka crossings to avoid congestion and ensure a more efficient journey.
