Congress on Sunday replaced Sunil Sharma with Pratap Singh Khachariyawas in Rajasthan's Jaipur constituency ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The announcement was made after the fifth list of candidates were released by the party.
Sharma had earlier stirred controversy after being associated with a right-leaning platform that has circulated videos of Rahul Gandhi among other Congress leaders. The decision to replace Sharma came a day after Congress leader Shashi Tharoor among others criticised his remarks.
