The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, according to an official statement, issued the instructions during presentation of action plans on social security by eight departments.

According to an official, Adityanath a few days ago directed that ministers and officials should stay at the government guesthouses instead of hotels while on official tours.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath's two deputy chief ministers, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were also present during the meeting with President Kovind and Prime Minister Modi.

According to the Election Commission of India, the average polling percentage recorded till 4 pm was 98.11 with Rae Bareli registering the highest voter turnout at 99.35 per cent and Gorakhpur the

Polling is taking place at 739 centres, and as many as 1,20,657 voters expected to exercise their franchise.

Gorakhpur temple attack case: According to police, accused Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi was radicalized to the extent that he was even ready to die after committing crime.

The bulldozed petrol pump was located in CB Ganj locality of Bareilly. It was owned by Samajwadi Party MLA Shazil Islam Ansari.
