Principal Secretary, Information, Avanish Awasthi admitted that a clash took place while the children were playing cricket but denied that the students were made to chant the religious slogan.

A show-cause notice has been issued to the jail superintendent and the jailor.

After a video showing jail inmates brandishing firearms in a jail in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district went viral on the social media, the government on Thursday claimed that the firearms were actually made of clay.
