Notably, several wrestlers have been staging a dharna at Jantar Mantar since April 23, demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Wrestlers protest: Usha, a Rajya Sabha member, has condemned the protest, saying the grapplers lacked discipline in hitting the street in support of their demand. She also said their action has tarnished the image of India.

Responding to India TV's questions, WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said, "You're not the Supreme Court... neither the court... why didn't you wait for the committee's report... I am ready to face the action on the basis of the report of the Delhi Police."

His remarks come a day after the 100th episode of Modi's "Mann ki Baat" radio programme was broadcast.

Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that there is a political motive behind the protest against him.
