Sachin Pilot is the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan. Born on September 7, 1977, Sachin Pilot represents Tonk constituency in Rajasthan Assembly. He defeated BJP's Yoonus Khan in the Assembly poll. He was a member of Parliament representing the Ajmer constituency at the 15th Lok Sabha. Sachin Pilot, who is Rajasthan Congress president, was born in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He holds a BA degree from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, a diploma in marketing from IMT. Ghaziabad and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. Sachin, son of late Congress leader Rajesh Pilot, had won the 2009 Lok Sabha election by defeating BJP's Kiran Maheshwari by a margin of 76,000 votes in Ajmer.

Official trends from the Election Commission showed the Congress party leading on 98 seats, the BJP at the same time was at 65.
The Election Commission said 74.02 per cent of voters exercised their franchise, a tally just short of the 75.23 per cent registered in the previous assembly election.

Meena, who is a five-time legislator and seen as the patriarch of the Meena community, said Sachin Pilot "was already a chief minister for the Congress" so he should clear his stand on reservation to Gujjars and Meenas.
Promises that can be fulfilled right after coming to power will be announced in the manifesto, Pilot said.
"We will come to power with 2/3 majority in Rajasthan," Sachin Pilot said speaking at a public gathering in Bikaner.
While the C fore survey is restricted to Rajasthan, the ABP News-CVoter opinion poll has also predicted the outcome of the Assembly elections in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, giving an edge to the Congress in both the states.
"It is a yet another victory for party workers. In the last four years, the BJP has exploited people of the state due to its anti-people policies," Pilot said.
The ordinance seeks to protect public servants from being investigated for on-duty action, without its prior sanction and bars the media from reporting on such accusations.
In the Congress, Sachin Pilot said that the new generation comes in, with the old lending their support to it. He favoured a “balanced approach” and claimed the Congress had maintained this as part of its history and tradition.
