'Bangladesh's Malinga' has been a pacer who has surprised many when it wasn't expected and especially when Bangladesh knocked out England in the 2015 World Cup. Bangladesh reached the knockouts for the first time and Rubel was there running across the Adelaide Oval. Making his ODI debut in 2009 against Sri Lanka, his 4/33 saw Bangladesh record an upset win over the Lankans at Dhaka. He made his Test debut the same year against Windies and claimed three wickets in the first innings of the match and managed to stick a good 10th wicket stand with Hossain. He claimed a hat-trick against New Zealand in Mirpur in 2013 and claimed his best bowling figure of 6/26. A pacer who is considered in all formats of the game. Along with Mustafizur and Mortaza, Rubel plays an integral role in the Bangladesh squad.
