Ravinder Raina (Ravinder Kumar Sharma) is the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the president of the party's Jammu and Kashmir unit since 2018. Raina won the Nowshera constituency in the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections by defeating Surinder Choudhary of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) with a margin of 9,503 votes. Raina is again contesting the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir polls from Nowshera against Surinder Choudhary, who is now with the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC). Raina courted controversy in 2015 when he took oath in the name of 'Mata Vaishno Devi'.
