The BJP-led Rajasthan govt has set up a cabinet sub-committee to review 17 districts and three new divisions created during the previous Congress administration under Ashok Gehlot. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the five-member sub-committee, including Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa as the convenor.

Rajasthan: The victories included former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje from Jhalrapatan, Diya Kumari from Vidhyadhnagar, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from Jhotwara, and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot from Sardarpura, among others.

Chunav Manch: The Election Commission of India has announced that the polling for 200 seats in Rajasthan will be held on November 25 (Saturday) and the counting will be done on December 3 (Sunday).

Assembly election on all 200 seats in Rajasthan will take place on November 25. Earlier, the polling was scheduled for November 23, however, various political parties urged the Election Commission to change the voting date due to large scale weddings which could impact voter turnout in the state.

Kota suicide cases: Two students, preparing for competitive exams in Kota, allegedly died by suicide on Sunday (August 27), in a span of four hours. According to authorities, 22 students have ended their lives so far in 2023- the highest for any year. Last year, the figure was 15.

Rajasthan: BJP has been trying to corner the Gehlot government over women safety issues for couple of months. In fact, Gehlot's Cabinet colleague also raised the issue in the assembly and later he was sacked.

Rathore said that he was determined to win a medal if he went to the Olympics as there was a lot of negativity around India at the Olympics due to the country's poor record.

Along with the Independent charge of the Sports and Youth Affairs, Rijiju was also named as the Minister of State for Minority Affairs.

At a time when many Congress leaders across the country have questioned the authenticity of Balakot air strikes, the Congress government in Rajasthan has accommodated the story of Indian Air Force fighter jets attacking terrorist camps across the LoC in its school textbooks.

Rathore, an Olympic silver medallist in shooting, urged India's leading athletes and actors to share their childhood stories when they would ask their parents to let them play for that five extra minutes.

In the last polls in 2013, the BJP had won a majority.

Rathore also said that 2018 has turned out to be the best year for India in terms of sporting achievements.

The OCA president also cited how Spain despite not recognising Kosovo as a sovereign country, allowed its athletes to participate in a sporting event held in the country.

Bajrang Punia, who won gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, has been snubbed for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award this year.

A visibly delighted Rathore congratulated Indian medal winners of the just-concluded Asian Games but said their real journey has just begun.

While individual gold medal winners were given away Rs 40 lakh, the silver and bronze winners took home Rs 20 and Rs 10 lakh each.
