The movie '83' is receiving positive feedback from both fans and critics. Ranveer Singh seems to have done a really splendid job with his portrayal of Kapil Dev in the movie. The latest one to laud the actor is Rajinikanth. Here's what he said.

In videos and pictures, a huge crowd can be seen standing together and expressing their happiness on Thalaiva's 71st birthday.  

Megastar Rajinikanth turns 71 today. The day is of special significance for his fans, who celebrate the cinema icon's birthday like a festival. Stating that he was mighty impressed with Siva's earlier film 'Viswasam', which released on the same day that his 'Petta' released, Rajinikanth says he expressed a desire to meet and congratulate director Siva to 'Viswasam' producer Thyagarajan.  

Annaatthe Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth starrer which released under the banners of the Sun Pictures is directed by Siruthai Siva. The release of the film got delayed by COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from the mega star, the cast of the film includes names of actors like Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj, Sathish and Soori.

Annaatthe Releases Today: Early in the morning on Thursday, the ardent fans of superstar Rajinikanth gathered outside theatres to watch 'first day, first show.' Not only this but next level excitement was shown after 'Annaatthe dosa' was being sold in hope of promotion of the film.

The film Annaatthe, which, apart from Rajinikanth, also features Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh and Jagapathi Babu among others, has music by Imman and cinematography by Vetri.

Just yesterday, Rajinikanth's fans performed the special prayers by breaking 108 coconuts and "man soru." And later in the evening, the superstar shared his health update and informed that he has been discharged from the Kauvery Hospital where he underwent carotid endarterectomy.

Rajinikanth health update: According to a medical bulletin issued by the Kauvery Hospital, the Padma Bhushan awardee is recovering well after he underwent carotid endarterectomy and is likely to be discharged in a few days. His film Annaatthe, is all set to release in theatres on November 4.

On Thursday, Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital for a routine check-up. The actor's wife Latha Rajinikanth told that the 70-year-old thespian was admitted for a day for a routine checkup. The hospital on Friday stated that he underwent a procedure and will be discharged soon.

On Thursday, it was said Rajinikanth would be discharged from the hospital in a day. The actor's family is also silent on his health condition on Friday. It is reported that the actor wen to the hospital for routine checkup, however, an official statement from the family is awaited.  

Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on Thursday (October 28), said the hospital. Recently, the actor was conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest film honour, by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. His film Annaatthe, is all set to release in theatres on November 4.

Rajinikanth, on Monday, was conferred with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. He received the award for his remarkable contribution to Indian cinema.

Manoj and Dhanush were conferred with the Best Actor Award for their films 'Bhonsle' and 'Asuran' respectively at the 67th National Film Awards. Rajinikanth was also conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his remarkable contribution to cinema.

Superstar Rajinikanth received India's highest film honour Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his outstanding contribution to the world of Indian cinema. The actor worked as a bus conductor before embarking on his film journey about 45 years ago.

While Kangana Ranaut wins the best actress National Film Award for her films Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Panga, superstar Rajinikanth is conferred with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Manoj Bajpaypee and Dhanush are being awarded the best actor for Hindi film Bhonsle and Tamil movie Asuran

The prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke, awarded for excellence in cinematic achievement, is the highest honour in film and is awarded by the government. Megastar Rajinikanth will receive the prestigious award for his stupendous contribution to the world of Indian cinema. 

Veteran actor Srikanth is known for his many supporting roles in films starring top stars of Tamil cinema, including the late Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.  

Slated for a Deepavali release on November 4, the rural drama stars Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Keerthy Suresh, Sathish, Khushbu, Meena, Soori and Robo Shankar in pivotal roles.

Singaporean rapper Yung Raja has paid an ode to superstar Rajinikanth through his new single, titled 'Spice Boy'. "He's such a legend world over and I wanted to give an ode of sorts to him and celebrate his supremacy," he said.
