Rajinikanth's Jailer FIRST poster out: Despite negative reviews, Nelson Dilipkumar's previous film 'Beast,' starring Vijay, earned well at the box office, so hopes for Jailer are high.

Rajinikanth and director Shankar's meeting lasted for a good 45 minutes during which period the two discussed a number of topics including the film industry and Shankar's upcoming film with Ram Charan.  

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajinikanth were last seen together 12 years ago in director Shankar's Ethiran, titled Robo in Telugu and Robot in Hindi. Whenever we finalise a film to work together on, I shall be the first person to announce it. You will not have to get such 'leaked ideas'."  

Rajinikanth was last seen in the 2021 actioner Annaatthe, directed by Siva. His upcoming film 'Thaliavar 169' will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Nelson's upcoming directorial is with Vijay and Pooja Hegde, titled Beast.

Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya took to Instagram and informed fans about her COVID positive report. She wrote, "Tested positive even after all the precautions..got admitted. Please mask up, get vaccinated and be safe. Bring it on 2022. We will see what more is that you have in store for me."
