Rahul Gandhi is the Congress leader and has been representing the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency since 2019. He defeated Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidates Chandra Parkash Mishra Matiyari and Asheesh Shukla in the 2004 and 2009 polls respectively from Amethi.
