Strongly countering Gandhi's charges, the BJP accused the Congress chief of "lying through his teeth shamelessly" and indulging in "politics of misinformation" to build his political career.

Repeatedly calling Gandhi a "clown prince", the BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra at a press conference also alleged the Congress leader comes from "a family of middlemen" and his his father and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was "officially a middleman" in a defence deal.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra called Rahul Gandhi a 'clown prince' and dared the Congress to move court if they have any evidence of corruption in the Rafale fighter jet deal.

The Congess president said that a senior executive of Rafale company has clearly stated that choosing Anil Ambani's company was a compensation for the purchase of Rafale.
