Delivering the first Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Lecture at the India Ideas Conclave in New Delhi he asked whether Indira Gandhi or Rajiv Gandhi have ever gone to a congregation where 'Bharat ke tukde honge' slogan was raised.

Bharatiya Janata Party media head and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni said Gandhi was seen "standing with the corrupt" when the Congress-led government was in power between 2004 and 2014, but he did nothing for soldiers.

The Congress party is currently holding discussions with Telugu Desam Party, CPI and Telangana Jana Samithi on seat sharing.

In connection with the deal, Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group has denied the Congress' allegations.

Laying accusations over the BJP government in the state, Gandhi said it has done nothing for farmers and for the unemployed youths during its 15 years rule.

Continuing to call Congress leader a 'clown prince', Jaitley in a Facebook blog wondered if Rahul Gandhi has a personality issue.

The Congress had set up a three-member committee to look into the issue after a woman, a party worker from Chhattisgarh, levelled charges of sexual harassment against the chief of its students' wing.

Addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh, Gandhi targeted the Modi government and the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government in the state over rising unemployment, corruption and unabated farmer suicides.

On Monday, he offered prayers at Peetambra Shaktipeeth in Datia district.
