“Seats have almost been finalized,” ANI reported Mayawati as saying.

Lok Sabha elections 2019 will begin on April 11 and continue for over a month till May 19 across seven phases, followed by counting of votes on May 23, the Election Commission announced on Sunday.

​The Lucknow and New Delhi residences of retired IAS officer Net Ram, a close aide of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, were raided by the Income Tax department on Tuesday, officials said.  

 It has been reiterated once again that BSP will not have any alliance with Congress party in any state, to contest the upcoming elections, BSP supremo was reported in ANI as saying. 

At an event in Ahmedabad on Sunday, Shah had said the Indian Air Force (IAF) air strikes on a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp in Pakistan's Balakot last Tuesday "killed more than 250 terrorists".

Mayawati appealed to the people to stand with the families of those killed in terror attacks and extend all possible support.

"The attempt to win the elections by announcing the Rs 6,000 per annum scheme for the farmers will not help Modi, as the they have become intelligent," Gehlot said at a press conference.

Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati on Sunday termed the PM-KISAN scheme an insult to the farmers, saying the BJP was hoodwinking them before the general election.

The agency had taken up this enquiry on a complaint by the Uttar Pradesh government which was referred to it in January.  

BSP president Mayawati on Monday cited a newspaper report to take a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Rafale deal, saying honesty, national interest and national security can be compromised and ignored for the sake of the "chowkidar".

A day after the Supreme Court said BSP chief Mayawati may have to reimburse the public money spent on erecting her statues, she asked BJP leaders and the media not to "distort" the observation of the court.

Lashing out at media, the BSP supremo said that she was confident that the justice will prevail in SC after her side presents the case. 

Public money cannot be utilised for creating own statues and for propagating the political party, said a petition filed by an advocate.

Hitting out at the Congress, Mayawati said, "There is significant relief among the people after the BJP could not form government in Madhya Pradesh.  

Describing the plea as a step aimed at influencing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said it is BJP's latest poll gimmick.

Urging the Election Commission to take strong note of the issue, Mayawati said the latest "revelations" are most sensational and expose the "conspiracy" of the BJP.

It is pertinent to mention here that recently SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati have entered into an alliance in which they have agreed on 38 seats each.
