Coming from the city of lakes Nainital, Manish Pandey didn’t look as calm as lake water when he displayed explosive batting to score the first-ever century in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the middle-order batsman had to wait for six years after scoring that remarkable T20 ton in Centurion to eventually make his international debut in July 2015, during India’s tour of Zimbabwe. He played in both ODI and T20I series with an impressive start in the 50-over format with a confident 71-run knock in his first match against Zimbabwe at Harare. The first IPL century by Pandey managed to charm the cricket lovers but the team selectors wanted more consistency from the right-handed batsman, which he developed after playing a lot of domestic cricket for Karnataka. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pandey has played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
