Suniel Shetty describes how he first met KL Rahul in 2019 and how he was unaware of Athiya's connection with him.

"KL Rahul should not be dropped from the Indian side. One should not single out any player. Everyone goes through a lean patch. No one, no cricket pundit or anyone should tell him that he is not doing well and be dropped," said the veteran Indian batter.

KL Rahul's below-par record in Test cricket since 2020, a poor outing in the 2022 World Cup and his recent outings have spurred up a narrative that isn't in his favour, and rightly so.

Indian opener KL Rahul is struggling and it has become extremely evident. KL Rahul has scored only 38 runs in 3 innings at an average of 12.67 in the ongoing IND vs AUS Test series.

KL Rahul has failed to fire well in recent outings for India. Venkatesh Prasad has come out to be a critic of the Indian opener's struggling form in International Cricket.

It will be interesting to see if the team persists with KL Rahul for the 3rd Test or go in with Shubman Gill. Whatever the decision, KL Rahul quickly needs to find a way to get back to form.
