Amid a war of words between Kangana Ranaut and the Maharashtra government, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday demolished the actor's office in Bandra for 'illegal construction'.

​Just as Kangana Ranaut's office in Bandra was demolished on Wednesday, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar asked the actor to mind her words.

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed the demolition process initiated by the BMC for illegal construction at actor Kangana Ranaut's bungalow and sought to know why did the city civic body enter the property when the owner was not present.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has already left for Mumbai from Mandi and will land in the city after 2pm. Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reached her office and has confirmed that they will demolish it due to unauthorized construction. The actress took to her Twitter to talk about her return to her workplace and shared that she left home twelve years ago. In a related development in Mumbai, a legal notice was sent to Ranaut on Monday by a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pradeep Lonandkar, seeking a public apology over her controversial tweets on Mumbai and its police.

Kangana Ranaut made the allegation on her verified Twitter account, adding that BMC officials also used foul language against her. Along with the tweet, she posted a video of a few men at her office premises. The actress has denied any illegal involvement in the construction of her office.  

The CM said that a team of Central Reserve Police Force commandos headed by an Assistant Commandant along with support staff was on way to Manali, where Kangana is currently staying.

The home ministry has now provided actress Kangana Ranaut with Y level security amid her war of words with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. She thanked Amit Shah for providing her the security and said that he 'kept the words of a daughter of India, respected our self-respect.' Under the 'Y' category, two personal security officers (PSOs) are appointed to provide security to a person.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said on Sunday that both Kangana Ranaut’s sister and her father have approached the government seeking security for the actor. The actor has a program to visit Mumbai on September 9 for which the government is considering to provide her security during the visit also.
