Australia and India will clash against each other in three ODIs as their final preparations for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in September.

Star Australian allrounder Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against South Africa due to injury.

The big-hitting all-rounder is still recovering from a leg injury he sustained in a freak accident in November and according to Australia national selector George Bailey, he is having a more demanding experience recovering from the injury than he originally expected.

The India-Australia series kicks off at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur, on Feb 9, where the first Test is scheduled to take place.

Maxwell, who joined RCB ahead of IPL 2021, has been a key member of their set-up. After his exploits with the bat in the 2021 season, he was retained for Rs 11 crore by the franchise.
