Seer Bairagyanand Giri, who announced he would opt for 'samadhi' (live burial) after Congress leader Digvijaya Singh lost the Lok Sabha election to BJP's Sadhvi Pragya contrary to his prophecy, was on Friday denied permission by the administration to end his life voluntarily.  

"These are fake people. The people know everything. They know the difference between a saint and the devil,” Thakur said when asked about her opponent.

Digvijaya Singh has been fielded by the Congress party from the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency against Malegaon blasts-accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur.

Bhopal is considered as BJP’s stronghold for the last 30 years as the Congress has not tasted victory here since 1989.

Singh said that Modi and his ministers levelled several allegations against him and even expressed their intentions of filing a sedition case.

Speaking to reporters here, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said: "I am not raising any question over the IAF's operation. But this is the era of technology. It is possible to find out any picture of an open area via satellite. We should give evidence like America informed the whole world about Osama bin Laden."  

The matter escalated to such a level that Rahul Gandhi had to intervene. An angry Rahul Gandhi reportedly set up a three-member committee to resolve the matter.

Interestingly, all this happened in front of the Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

A video of the senior Congress leader has gone viral in which he is heard saying that his party's votes get reduced whenever he campaigns. The video was said to be recorded on October 13.

Digvijaya Singh said that Congress will construct 'Ram Path', a mythical route taken by Lord Ram during his 14-year exile, stretching up to the borders of Madhya Pradesh if voted to power.
