Brijendra Singh is the Congress party leader and the son of former Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh. He was a Lok Sabha member from Hisar from 2019 to 2024. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Singh defeated Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) chief Dushyant Chautala with a massive margin of 3,14,068 votes. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) till 2024 and left it just before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls after he was denied a ticket from Hisar. After working for 21 years in Haryana, Singh, the former bureaucrat, voluntarily retired from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He is the Congress candidate from Uchana Kalan, the seat represented by his father four times in the past, in the 2024 Haryana Assembly polls against Dushyant Chautala and Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Devender Attri.
