Having played domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh, Bhuvneshwar represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bhuvneshwar came as a Christmas gift to the Indian cricket team as made his international debut at the age of 22, playing Pakistan in a T20I match at Bengaluru on December 25 2012.
