Pakistan captain Babar Azam defended the squad selection when he was questioned about his spinners in the pre-departure press conference for the ICC Cricket World Cup. Pakistan will begin their campaign with a warm-up match on Friday, September 29.

“I can bowl a maiden over to Babar Azam in T20 cricket even today, he cannot hit the ball if you bowl good deliveries to him,” Mohammad Asif added.
