T20 captain Babar on Wednesday replaced wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed as the ODI skipper after the latter was axed from the team across formats following his poor form with the bat.

PCB confirmed through a media release that while Azahar Ali will remain the captain of Pakistan's Test side, Babar has been handed the extra responsibility of leading the ODI side besides already being the T20I captain. 

Babar said: "From the start of my career I have tried to model my game and seek inspiration from Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan."

Tom Moody feels Babar Azam is a special talent and compared him with Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

The interactive sessions will be held via videoconference calls in which around 35 women cricketers will be provided insights about how to strategize and approach the game in different conditions.

Babar had recently shrugged off the discussion surrounding the comparison of him and Kohli but did mention that he would eventually want to achieve those feats for his country.

Haider Ali said he wants to learn from Kohli too but Azam is his role model.

Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are the only players in world cricket at the moment, who are in the top 10 batsman rankings in all three formats of the game.

Babar Azam is the T20I captain of Pakistan and has been one of their most consistent performers across all formats.

With the promotion up the ladder in the rankings chart, Babar is the only batsman to feature in the top five across formats - top-ranked in T20Is and No.3 in ODIs.
