Ashok Gehlot government on Tuesday sent a fresh proposal to Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra requesting him to convene assembly session on July 31. The Governor has returned previous two proposals sent by Gehlot government. Rajasthan Government and Rajasthan Governor are currently at odds with each other over the issue of convening session of legislative assembly.

It is a big day for Rajasthan politics with the apex court all set to resume hearing on the matter of the disqualification of 19 MLAs including Sachin Pilot as requested by the Rajasthan Assembly speaker. The Supreme Court will hear the matter after Rajasthan Assembly speaker CP Joshi filed a plea challenging the Rajasthan High Court's order against the disqualification of 19 rebel Congress MLAs.

Rajasthan Congress on Sunday said that it will not stage any protest at Rajasthan Raj Bhawan but will do so in front of all Raj Bhawans across the country. Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee chief Govind Singh Dotasra tweeted in this regard. Congress will launch its Save Democracy-Save Constitution campaign on Monday.  

Power tussle in Rajasthan is still going on. Though Ashok Gehlot remains in stronger position as compared to Sachin PIlot but it is not certain how the political crisis will go ahead.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday met state Governor Kalraj Mishra. Though this visit was said to be courtesy visit, Gehlot handed over list of Rajasthan MLAs supporting him. He has also handed over a list of parties who have extended support to him.

Rajasthan MLAs supporting former state Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot have been shifted to a five-star hotel in New Delhi. The MLAs were previously staying at a hotel in Manesar in Haryana.
