Ashok Gehlot is the 15th chief minister of Rajasthan. Earlier, two-time Rajasthan Chief Minister, Gehlot represents Sardarpura constituency in the 200-seat Rajasthan Assembly. He contested 2018 Rajasthan Assembly election against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Shambhu Singh. Born on May 3, 1951, Gehlot has served as Rajasthan CM from 1998 to 2003 and again from 2008 to 2013. A science and law graduate, Ashok Gehlot also holds an MA degree in Economics. Gehlot has also served as Union Minister of State for Tourism and Civil Aviation from September 1982 to February 1984. Gehlot is one of the few leaders who have worked under three PMs - Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and PV Narasimha Rao.

Gehlot said that he did not have cardiac issues before, and as per doctors, it is a post-Covid effect.
Suffering from chest pain since Thursday, Gehlot underwent coronary angiography, angioplasty, and stenting at Sawai Mansingh Hospital.

AICC general secretary (organisation) Venugopal and All India Congress Committee general secretary in charge for Rajasthan Maken arrived in Jaipur on Saturday night and went to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's residence.
Gehlot said a grant of Rs 1,000 monthly or a maximum of Rs 12,000 annually on electricity cost will be given on agriculture connections.

Rajasthan Phone Tapping: Ved Prakash Solanki, an MLA from Chaksu seat, is a staunch supporter of Sachin Pilot.
There are reports doing rounds that Sachin Pilot is being sidelined by CM Ashok Gehlot and that he has raised the matter with the Congress high command.
Sachin Pilot had returned to the Congress camp after a brief rebellion last year. Pilot was, however, not re-inducted into the Cabinet and also not given any important role in the party.
