Firecrackers and celebrations hit All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi's house in Hyderabad as the party won three assembly seats in Bihar elections 2020.

Sources told India TV that as many as five more MLAs are believed to be involved in the racket.   

Asaduddin Owaisi disapproved of the acts of violence in the name of religion. He said that those killing innocent people in the name of jihad are against Islam.

 Asaduddin Owaisi has claimed that the BJP wants to install its own Chief Minister in Bihar. 

Owaisi also hit out at the Congress, saying in Maharashtra it contested polls with All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) but later joined hands with Shiv Sena "demolishers of the Babri mosque" to form a coalition government in the western state.

​On the day of the foundation stone laying ceremony of 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir', AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said it was the "defeat of democracy" and "success of Hindutva". He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi "violated" the oath of the office by laying the foundation stone of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony in Ayodhya, considered as the first stepping stone in the final construction of the holy Ram Mandir, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has sparked a controversy by once again hailing the Babri Masjid. Owaisi tweeted early this morning saying that the Babri Masjid will live forever.
