Ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections 2022, India TV conducted an Opinion Poll to gauge the mood of people in the states Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur. Here are the top takeaways of the survey.

Punjab Polls: It is now being learnt that some differences have erupted among the coalition parties -- BJP, Punjab Lok Congress and SAD (Sanyukt) over a few seats.

Political parties in Punjab have requested the ECI to reschedule the Assembly polls in the state in view of the Guru Ravidass Jayanti which falls on February 16.

Sources said Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi can contest elections from two seats. Adampur and Chamkor Sahib could be the two seats from where Channi is likely to contest.

A couple of days ago, Navjot Singh Sidhu in a presser while responding to a media query asked, "who said the Congress high command will decide the next CM? It will be the people of the state who will choose it."

The 79-year-old leader had recently formed the Punjab Lok Congress.

Amarinder Singh's Punjab Lok Congress has struck a pre-poll alliance with the BJP for fighting the Punjab assembly polls.  

Voting for Punjab assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 14, the Election Commission said on Saturday.
