Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi has managed to stay strong in the face of competition from last week's release, Robert Pattinson's The Batman, and will now have to brave the 'Prabhas storm' at the domestic box office. 

'Gangubai Kathiawadi' revolves around a maiden sold by a suitor into prostitution and how she becomes a prominent and celebrated figure in the underworld and Kamathipua red-light district. It starred superstars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

After suffering various delays during the COVID-19 pandemic, SS Rajamouli directorial RRR is all set to release on March 25. It stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles and features Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in cameo appearances. 

​Harping on the themes of self-realization and discovery, 'Sharmaji Namkeen' tells the story of a recently retired man, who discovers his passion for cooking after joining a riotous women's kitty circle. The film will be premiering on March 31 on Amazon Prime Video.

Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has become the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film after Sooryavanshi for a pandemic release. It is eyeing lifetime collections of Rs 115-120 crore going into its third week.
