Both Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 on July 11. The next day, actor and Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya also tested positive for the virus.

Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter and announced the news of his recovery from COVID-19. He tweeted, 'A promise is a promise! This afternoon I tested Covid-19 NEGATIVE!!! I told you guys I’d beat this. thank you all for your prayers for me and my family. My eternal gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Nanavati hospital for all that they have done.'

Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is undergoing Covid-19 treatment in hospital, radiates positivity despite his health condition, says the producer of his upcoming film.

As soon as Abhishek Bachchan shared a glimpse of his medical chart from the Nanavati hospital, his father and megastar Amitabh Bachchan was quick to respond to his post with a poem of his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Abhishek Bachchan shared a throwback black-and-white photograph from his childhood where he can be seen having a Rakhi feast, together with his sisters sitting on the floor.

Big B, on Sunday, tested negative for the novel coronavirus and was discharged from the hospital. The 77-year-old actor was admitted to Nanavati hospital along with son Abhishek Bachchan after testing positive for COVID-19 on July 11. Abhishek, 44, is still positive and will remain under medical care.

Abhishek Bachchan informed that father Amitabh Bachchan has finally tested negative for coronavirus and has got discharged from the hospital. He tweeted, "my father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital."

The 44-year-old actor, who is currently admitted to Nanavati hospital along with his father Amitabh Bachchan, shared the photo of the letter on Instagram. "This made my week. Thank you so much @chelseafc The only thing that would top this is winning the FA Cup this evening. Come on Chelsea!!! #ktbffh," Abhishek Bachchan wrote in the caption.

The actor along with his father Amitabh is presently admitted at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai where they are recovering from the illness.

While several TV serials have resumed shooting with trepidation, taking precautions such as limiting the number of people on set, sanitisation tunnels and even tweaking storylines, films have been slower to get off the blocks. The new normal had barely begun when four members of the Bachchan family, Amitabh, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and granddaughter Aaradhya, tested positive.
