Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yeddyurappa is an Indian politician and Chief Minister-designate of Karnataka. He was the 19th Chief Minister of Karnataka and is currently president of Karnataka BJP.

Yediyurappa cited the death of BJP stalwart and former finance minister Arun Jaitley, and his travel to Delhi on Sunday to pay his last respects to the departed leader as the reasons for the delay.
Just a day ahead of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's confidence motion, Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar on Sunday disqualified 14 more rebel MLAs. Of the lawmakers who faced the action, 11 are from the Congress and three from JDS. Earlier on Thursday, Karnataka Assembly speaker KR Ramesh Kumar had disqualified 3 rebel Congress MLAs under the anti-defection law.
"I don't know what their party (coalition partners Congress and JD-S) is going to do but we are 105. They will be less than 100. Hundred per cent we are confident that the confidence motion will be defeated," Yeddyurappa told reporters at the Vidhana Soudha, which houses both the houses of Legislature.
