Accusing the opposition parties of misleading the minorities about the Citizenship (amendment) Act, Amit Shah said its implementation will not impact the citizenship status of Indian minorities.

As political tussle between BJP and TMC intensifies in West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who addressed a public rally in Thakurnagar on Thursday said he will keep coming to Bengal again and again till the time Mamata Banerjee loses the election.

Amit Shah said that Mamata Banerjee gets angry at 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan, but she will herself begin chanting it by the time assembly polls are over.

He will address the rally at the Thakurbari ground, the party's chief spokesperson Anil Baluni said. Later in the evening, Shah will address a meeting of the party's social media volunteers in Kolkata.

BJP is organising Parivartan Yatra in West Bengal in five phases. The yatra was flagged-off by BJP president JP Nadda on February 6 from Nabadwip in Nadia district. The yatra will cover all the 294 constituencies in the state.
