Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has slammed his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Akhilesh Yadav for not taking actions against non-performing misters.
"The ministers are not working. They are harmful to Samajwadi Party's future. I would have suspended them from the party, if I were the Chief Minister," Mulayam said Thursday while addressing a meeting of the newly-appointed members of party's state executive.
He said that his suggestions had been ignored ever since the party formed the government in March 2012.
He also warned Akhilesh against succumbing to pressure.
In November last year, Yadav had criticized the state government for the ‘slow' development in the state.
Meanwhile, Akhilesh has accepted that he lagged behind in publicising his government's achievements.
He asked party workers to organise public contact programmes across the state from February 7 to make people aware about government's achievements.
