New Delhi, Oct 16: Following in the footsteps of his bête noire Lalu Prasad, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be visiting Pakistan from November 9-16.

Nitish will be leading a delegation of ministers, party MPs and officials from Bihar. He has been invited by some Pakistani parliamentarians and universities.

The central government has extended full support to Nitish's Pakistan visit as it considers this visit a step forward towards improving the strained relationship between the two countries.

Nitish will cross the Indo-Pak boarder at Wagah and plans to visit Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Rawalpindi.

Nitish, with backing of UPA govt, is also expected to make courtesy calls to top Pakistani leaders and may carry messages as well.

In 2003, Lalu Prasad had visited Pakistan and it proved to be a very successful visit. It remains to be seen whether Nitish will succeed in displaying same charisma in Pakistan.
