New Delhi: Can you imagine a role in a Bollywood film for our taxman-turned-politician-turned Chief Minister of Delhi - Arvind Kejriwal?

According to a report published in Times of India, an email exchange from October 2012 recently released to the media by unknown sources allegedly contains two requests from filmmaker KC Bokadia to Arvind Kejriwal requesting him to star in a film that he was directing.

The first mail having been sent out by Bokadia reads, “It is my desire to cast you as a protagonist in my upcoming movie, in the role of a Journalist. He is like the hero of my film, who stands his guard against the corrupt politicians. The movie is called 'Dirty Politics'; it is an ambitious film with an impressive artist line up. I humbly request you to give consideration to act in my film. It will enhance your image further. I will be very happy to narrate the character sketch in person."

Next day, supposedly, Kejriwal replied to the mail with rejection of the offer stating the formation of his party ‘AAP' – Aam Aadmi Party.

He wrote, “I am really flattered by your offer. I am a very small person. I have been a great admirer of your films. However, you would have heard that we have launched our new political party. I am neck deep into it. Our goal is to clean up this dirty politics. Therefore, I am really sorry I won't be able to take out time for the film."

Bokadia responded to Kejriwal's mail by urging him to reconsider his thoughts and asking only seven days of the latter. He wrote, “Please reconsider my offer, to play one of the important characters of 'the fearless journalist', I need only 7 precious days of yours."

Eventually, Naseeruddin Shah was offered the role by Bokadia when Kejriwal declined the proposal.

His film, ‘Dirty Politics' is now due for release on March 06, 2015. Apart from Naseeruddin Shah, it also stars Mallika Sherawat, Om Puri and Anupam Kher.

Apparently, Bokadia has given many hits in his career. He has produced hit films like ‘Pyar Jhukta Nahin' and directed others like Aaj ka Arjun'.
