Bhopal, Mar 21 : Janata Dal (U) President Sharad Yadav today said the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre is being rocked by one scandal after another and this is affecting the country at large."During the UPA II, there is a scandal almost every three or four days and this is badly affecting the country at large," he told reporters.
Yadav said the Adarsh Housing Society scandal in Mumbai, where flats meant for families of Kargil war heroes were allotted to bureaucrats and kin of politicians, was a
very serious affair.Similarly, the staging of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi last year was marred by a lot of corruption, he said.
The Janata Dal (U) leader said the 2G spectrum scam was the biggest scandal of its kind and it reflected very poorly on the functioning of the Manmohan Singh Government.
The veteran Parliamentarian said corruption was eating at the vitals of the society and "if we want to save our country, we must get united and fight the menace." PTI
