Anti-Telangana minister Chiranjeevi said: "though it was unfortunate, the situation made us to do it. We have to follow the wishes of the people. Even we are feeling bad for this situation. Hyderabad should be protected".
Union Textile Minsiter K S Rao, who entered the well, said, "we will continue to register our protest in this manner. There is no scientific basis to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Our state assembly has unanimously rejected the bill for bifurcation. Then why is the state being bifurcated? We have to save federalism. I did not want to go to the well, but Ihad no alternative."
Meanwhile, senior BJP leaders L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley joined the Prime Minister for lunch at 7, Race Course Road to discuss the passage of Telangana Bill, slated to be taken up in Lok Sabha tomorrow. Union ministers P Chidambaram, A K Antony, Sushil Shinde and Kamalnath also joined them for lunch.
