Mumbai: In a hard-hitting editorial in his party mouthpiece Saamna, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said "deceit is the other name of Congress which is applying double standards on corruption."

"For Congress, Lalu Prasad and Madhu Koda, who came out of jail, are acceptable, and not Ashok Chavan and Virbhadra Singh. This is nothing but deceit", writes Thackeray.

Former Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan is facing the heat in Adarsh housing scam, with party vice-president Rahul Gandhi literally forcing the state cabinet to accept the probe panel report. Similarly, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadhra Singh is facing the heat for accepting money from corporate friends.

"The AAP party has blown its bugle against corruption and because of this Rahul Gandhi is putting his own party chief minister in the dock for Adarsh scam report.  Today he is feeling that there had been a scam in Adarsh housing, why?? On the other hand, after cooling heels in jail in fodder scam, Lalu Prasad Yadav is giving honesty certificate to Rahul Gandhi. Another scamster from Jharkhand Madhu Koda who spent time in jail has been admitted to Congreess party.

"For Congress, men like Lalu Prasad Yadav and Madhu Koda are acceptable, but they find Ashok Chavan and Virbhadra Singh of Himachal Pradesh as criminals. If this is not deceit, what else", writes Thackeray.

The Shiv Sena chief further writes: "Nobody can touch the heights of Congress in deceit. The Gulati (turncoat) fame Congress MP (Sanjay Nirupam) has demanded that Maharashtra government should also slash power bills like the AAP govt in Delhi. This MP has written a letter to the CM and disclosed it to media, it means he did this only for publicity. He is worried more about publicity than about helping the people."
