Mumbai, Apr 30 :Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray today demanded strict action against all those involved in the Adarsh housing scam.

When asked about media reports that mother-in-law of former Chief Minister, Ashok Chavan, had taken a loan from a senior police officer's father, and Chavan allotted him a flat in  Adarsh in return, Thackeray junior said that not just Chavan, but everybody involved should be punished.

FIR filed by CBI in the case names Ashok Chavan. But the Bombay High Court earlier this week directed the CBI to look into allegations of involvement of Union ministers Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sushil Kumar Shinde too, observing that law was “equal” for all.

Earlier, a 200-page photography-book by Uddhav—who is an avid photographer—which showcases aerial photographs of the Pandharpur Wari (pilgrimage) was released by his father, Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray at the function.

In a rare public appearance, Bal Thackeray said that he prayed to Lord Vitthal—of Pandharpur—to give strength and power to Shiv Sainiks to overthrow the corrupt ministers and change to prevailing chaotic condition in the country.

Without naming Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar,Thackeray said that he too was from Pune, but never spoke in disparaging manner to anybody. PTI
