Patna, May 26: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that there seemed to be a ‘trust deficit' between the Army and the Ministry of Defence and issues should have been handled more carefully.
“There seems to be a trust deficit between the Army and the Ministry of Defence. It is not a good sign for the country,” Kumar told reporters here.
He was responding to a question that General V K Singh had claimed that he wrote a letter to the Ministry of Defence in 2010 alleging irregularities in defence purchases and after a long time a CBI inquiry was ordered. “These issues should have been handled more carefully,” Kumar said.
