Bhangar (WB), Apr 21 : West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today described the Trinamool Congress as an ‘unprincipled and directionless' party which ‘changes' allies for political convenience.
“It is a totally unprincipled and directionless party which changes colour every now and then. One day it may again join hands with the BJP which it discarded to suit its political convenience,” Bhattacharjee told an election rally at this South 24 Parganas district town.
“This unprincipled party speaks of being close to the poor and the downtrodden during election time. It is the CPI(M) which is the only party which thinks of the poor.” Bhattacharjee also attacked the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for ‘total uncertainty' in the financial sector leading to rise in poverty and corruption.PTI
