Pritam Munde (BJP)
According to the Election Commission, Pritam Munde (32) bagged a total of 9,16,923 votes while her nearest rival, Ashokrao Shankarrao Patil of the Congress, secured 2,24,678 votes.
The Beed bypoll was necessitated following the death of Gopinath Munde in a road accident in Delhi in June this year.
She is the second daughter of Gopinath Munde. Her sister Pankaja Munde won the Parli Assembly constituency in the recently concluded assembly polls.
Prime Minister Modi, BJP president Amit Shah had campaigned in Beed to garner support for Pritam. The Prime Minister had commenced his campaign for the Maharashtra assembly from here only.
Beed Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra. This constituency was formed in 1951.
