All other politicians including Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi fall way behind him. According to Google Trends, Narendra Modi scores 65 points out of 100, which is remarkable for any leader across the globe. Hence Modi has not only got complete mandate from the people of the country, but he also reigns over the hearts and minds of the virtual world. On the basis of Google Trends, Narendra Modi is widely searched in Goa, followed by Jharkhand, then Uttarakhand and Assam. In case of Google images too Narendra Modi ranks no.1. His photos are searched on Google to a large extent.2. Rahul Gandhi Rahul Gandhi proved to be a failure for the Congress party in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, but he too has a profound fan-following on the social media. ‘Pappu', as the social sites love to refer him as, ranks no. 2 on Google. Rahul Gandhi is not a tech savvy himself. Nor does he use internet as a medium to interact with the masses. Rahul prefers one on one interaction with his people. However, #Rahulfans has time and again tried to build his image. Rahul is often mocked by pro-BJP twitter and FB users. Some trending hashtags for the Congress Vice President include: #rahulcatnap and #rahulwakesup. Gandhi ranks second even in google images perhaps for his good looks. Rahul Gandhi currently represents Amethi Lok Sabha constituency. As per Google records, he is most widely searched for in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.3. Arvind Kejriwal Aam Admi Party's supremo Arvind Kejriwal received recognition as he began working rigorously as an RTI activist. However, it was social media that helped him climb the ladder of success in politics. Kejriwal ranks 3rd in the most googled Indian politicians. His popularity graph has shown a sharp decline over the past few months. Only last year, Kejriwal was even more popular than Narendra Modi. After Kejriwal stepped down as the Chief Minister of Delhi on 14th Feb, his fans were mightily disappointed and many lost interest in his agenda. People's anger was apparent in the Lok Sabha Elections where voters in Delhi rejected the Aam Admi Party. Arvind Kejriwal is most popular in Haryana, followed by Karnataka, UP and Rajasthan. Irani was already a popular media face. But as she was selected totake on Gandhi scion in Amethi in the Lok Sabha Election, she gained fame from political perspective too. Modi recruited her into his cabinet and gave her charge of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.Here again she inadvertently and speedily climbed the google chart of fame. Smriti was criticized for not being qualified enough to take charge of a Education Ministry. For some she became a laughing stock whereas others condemned attack on her. Smriti Irani is most popular in Andhra Pradesh, then Delhi, followed by UP and Karnataka, according to Google Trends. She heads AIADMK party. Once an Indian eye candy, she too is widely googled. Jaya's life story, her role as the Chief Minister, etc intrigue her fans – And she does have a massive fan following. Jayalalithaa is most widely searched for in Tamil Nadu, followed by Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. She is most popular amongst female politicians. Jaya is just a notch below Sonia Gandhi and ranks fourth in google images. Jayalalithaa is one of the most respected politicians.6. Sonia Gandhi The BJP says ‘India needs to do away with the Gandhi family'. Indeed the Congress party was washed out in the Lok Sabha elections, but for better or for worse, this family has dominance on the internet too. People search for Sonia Gandhi to a large extent. Arun Jaitley An excellent strategist, incumbent Finance and Defence Minister, Arun Jaitley is a fierce orator and lawyer. He displays his skills efficiently on social media sites too. Jaitley is active on Twitter and Facebook. Arun Jaitley is most popular in Delhi, followed by Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and then Tamil Nadu. He is not as popular as far as google images are concerned. Arun Jaitley is a Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat. He contested Lok Sabha Elections from Amritsar constituency. Here too, he actively led a campaign on social media too. However he was defeated by Amrinder Singh of the Congress party. 9. Sushma Swaraj Sushma Swaraj is another BJP leader who has found place in the list of most googled Indian politicians. Currently she is part of PM Modi's core team in the cabinet as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Sushma Swaraj is most widely searched on google from Delhi, followed by Karnataka, Maharashtra and then Tamil Nadu. Swaraj is not as popular on Google images. Interestingly Swaraj has many firsts to her credit as BJPs first female Chief Minister, Union Cabinet Minister, General Secretary, Spokesperson, Leader of Opposition and Minister of External Affairs. Sushma Swaraj herself is quite active on Social media (Facebook and Twitter). 10. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Daughter of Sonia Gandhi and younger sibling to Rahul, Priyanka does not actively participate in the Congress party's day to day affairs. Yet her appearances always attract much attention. Priyanka somewhat resembles her Grandmother – Indira Gandhi. So a person bearing the characteristics of the Iron lady of India (Indira) naturally would have a fan following and a bunch of haters. Priyanka actively campaigns for her brother and mother during elections. She is a constant support for the Congress party. Priyanka, like her brother and mum, is not as active on social sites, yet she is popular. Priyanka's popularity is mainly centered around Delhi, followed by Karnataka and then Mahrashtra. There are speculations that if the party continues to perform poorly, Priyanka will be asked to play larger role in the party affairs. So far she has refrained from joining active politics.
